Day 40 - February 7, 2016 - Ja Mar RV Resort, Port Richey, Florida - Superbowl Sunday - Hike at Werner- Boyce Salt Springs State Park

Today we opted to take a ride to Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park. The goal for the day is to take Jewel for a nice hike. We have had so much rain that some of the trails have been closed. Hopefully there will be something  available to us.

Many of the access trails were blocked but we were able to find an open trail making Jewel and us very happy.

It was a beautiful day - bright sunshine with  a cool breeze.

One of the salt springs ponds!

We were fortunate to find a great trail but did run into a water filled roadblock so had to retrace our steps.

It is a very quite and serene place even though it is close to the highway.

We  hiked for about one hour then Ron decided we should try another entrance to the park but it was closed as well as the first entrance we tried.

Jewel was very happy to finally get a real walk! And we were happy to be able to hike in the woods for an hour despite many of the trails being closed.

We watched the Super Bowl and were happy that the Broncos  won. If this is truly Peyton Manning's last year to play - what a way to go out!

Tomorrow is suppose to be a nice day so Ron and I plan on washing the MH. We shall see. LOL
