Despite the remoteness of the Pilot Truck Stop it was pretty busy, but did quiet down during the night. We had a great sleep and were up and back on the road by 6:30 am. It was pitch dark this morning and we didn't see any light until around 8 am. The good news is that it stays light until 7 pm.
Ron was in a driving mood so we just kept on going until around 6:30 that night. Since we are taking the less traveled roads the traffic hasn't been bad and we made good time.
Jewel was getting anxious and was not happy with the whole riding adventure. Once we got to the Flying J Truck Stop she was very happy to get out for a walk.
Despite the size (huge) of the truck stop there were no good places for RV parking despite what they advertised.
After jockeying around Ron found us a spot that wasn't too bad. We opted to have a New Year's Eve breakfast at Denny's. Back at the MH we read for a while and were in bed by 8:30 pm after a 12 hour driving day and 538 miles.
