Day 8 - January 6, 2016 - Fort Pickens CG

It was another beautiful day today with bright sunshine and temps near 70. We took a very long walk with Jewel on the trail that she loves.

Later we went to the museum to attend a Ranger Program. There were about 16 people waiting for the program but no ranger. One woman called the number on the brochure but was unable to get an answer. After 20 minutes a few of us walked to the visitor center to find out if the program had been cancelled. The volunteer there  finally spoke with someone. The ranger that was suppose to do the program said he wasn't told so hence no program.  Oh well, maybe next week. 

We went back to our site and sat outside for the rest of the afternoon taking advantage of the sunny day. Tomorrow it is suppose to be overcast and rain so we'll enjoy the sun today.

OK, we've been hanging in the same spot and mostly relaxing. We haven't gone crazy yet but it's only been three full days. Still have until the 17th here so we'll have to wait and see how  we do by then.
